Who is this class for:
Hammerstone courses are open to women-identifying and non-binary folx as well as trans men.

Prerequisite:
While this course has no explicit prerequisite, we highly recommend that students attend a 2-Day Basic Carpentry Skills course or equivalent before this course.  In Rough Framing - Build a Tiny House we review all content covered in our 2-Day Basic Carpentry Skills course, but at a faster pace.

Description:
Whether you’re a tiny house fan planning your own build or a DIYer looking to learn how houses are constructed, this class is for you!  Some other tiny house courses treat students like free labor, giving advanced tasks to more experienced students and grunt work to the newbies.  In contrast, at Hammerstone we focus on teaching; all students experience every aspect of construction.   It may not be the fastest way to get a tiny house built, but we guarantee everyone will learn a ton.  In this class we lay out stick framed walls and roofs, practice on center spacing, frame window openings, learn about the function for sheathing, and much, much more.  We hope you’ll join us.
