Build a Box
Refine your woodworking skills while building a pair of boxes. Use the table saw and miter saw to safely process rough materials and cut miter joints, practice using a variety of jigs, and experiment with several finishes including oil, shellac, milk paint and wax.

Description:
A great way to refine your woodworking skills is through box making. Little boxes don’t require a lot of material volume, so you can experiment with more expensive wood varieties. You can build beautiful boxes that are accessible to all skill levels, choosing more advanced joinery techniques as your skills improve. In this introductory class, we focus on the relatively straightforward, yet elegant, miter joint, using a variety of wood species and finishing techniques to create a pair of beautiful keepsake boxes.
