Cabinetry Basics - Carcasses and Drawers

  • Hammerstone: Carpentry for Women 3285 Jacksonville Rd Trumansburg, NY (map)

Who is this class for:
This course is open to women-identifying and non-binary folx as well as trans men.

Prerequisite: While this course has no explicit prerequisite, we highly recommend that students attend either our 2-Day Basic Carpentry Skills, Build a Bookcase, Build a Box, Build an Adirondack Chair course or an equivalent before participating.  In Cabinetry Basics courses we review the critical content covered in these courses, but at a faster pace.

Description:
What if you were able to build the kitchen of your dreams?  Custom cabinetry is out of reach for the majority of us, but with some knowledge and skills, that dream becomes more attainable.  This latest addition to our Tiny House series teaches a whole new set of tools and techniques as we learn to break down sheet goods and work with efficient production joinery.  With the skills learned in this class, you can build a bathroom vanity, a built in hutch, or even outfit your whole kitchen.

HOW TO CHOOSE A PAYMENT >

  • I consider myself middle income/wealth. Paying this price may be a sacrifice, but I can find the resources to do so. This is the full cost of running a course including paying our teachers a fair wage, covering insurance, maintaining tools and facilities, managing administration, and supporting our family.

  • I consider myself low-income/low-wealth. I cannot access this course without financial help.

  • I consider myself low-middle income/wealth. Paying full price for this course presents somewhat of a financial hardship.

  • I consider myself upper-middle income/wealth. I would like to make a donation on top of the full price of the course in order to help subsidize access for those who cannot pay the full tuition.

  • I have the resources to make a substantial donation to ensure that these classes remain accessible to people of all income/wealth levels.
