Tiny House Courses
Each year Hammerstone offers a homebuilding series based around a real tiny house project. Courses go through all stages of construction, starting with a bare trailer and finishing with custom cabinetry. Courses are open to beginners, and students can take one or all of the series. There are no prerequisites but we highly recommend that students take 2-Day Basic Carpentry Skills before attending a tiny house course. All skills learned in the series are applicable to standard size building.

Each year’s tiny house is commissioned by a course sponsor. Consider building your tiny house with Hammerstone and support women learning carpentry at the same time!
In this 5-day class, students learn the fundamentals of stick framing, the process by which most modern houses are constructed. In this course we frame a tiny house, but the techniques learned can be applied to any structure.
