We just finished up the last of our 2024 classes and can't wait to celebrate and make merry with the whole Hammerstone community. Our last party at the new shop was a HUGE hit.
The Holiday Party will have two parts: gift making from 12-5pm and a potluck from 5-7pm. During gift making, we'll have stations set up where Hammerstone instructors and teaching assistants will guide you through the creation of a variety of crafts. These will be simple projects that require no woodworking experience. All are welcome!

When should I arrive?
Drop in anytime 12-5p to make one or more ornaments at our woodworking stations. Stick around until the potluck at 5pm, or enjoy some time in downtown Ithaca then return. Just a block away, Liquid State Brewing will have a traditional Irishmusic session from 4-6pm!
Is there a fee?
All of these crafts involve materials and lots of preparation time. We will be listing suggested donations for each station but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Donations above and beyond to support the organization are greatly appreciated.
So, I haven't done ANY woodworking...
No problem! All activities are open to complete beginners. These are simple, low pressure projects that'll be a lot of fun.
Is this only for women? Only Hammerstone students?
ALL are welcome! This is a community event, so feel free to come with friends and family. If you've never visited Hammerstone, this is a great opportunity to meet our teachers and see the space. Children are welcome to participate in selected crafts with adult supervision.
What should I bring to the potluck?
Whatever you like! The potluck will be informal - hopefully we'll have a well balanced meal, but if we end up with nothing but desserts, no one here will complain ;)
