Sliding Scale Payment: Because COVID-19 has continued to impact our nation, especially the most vulnerable among us, we are continuing our sliding scale policy for our classes in 2021. Materials costs are not included in the sliding scale. Please choose a tuition amount between $200 and $480 (or more) that you can afford to attend this class. Choose one of the 5 sliding scale amounts, or use the “Pay By Check” payment method at checkout and include a custom tuition amount in the notes field at checkout. Please pay what you can (read our guidance on how to choose a payment here). Your support allows us to continue offering the sliding scale benefits to those with financial challenges!

Overview: In this 5-day class, students learn the fundamentals of stick framing. Stick framing is the process by which most modern houses are constructed using small dimensional lumber (2×4’s or 2×6’s) on regular spacing with plywood sheathing giving rigidity.
While building the shed, students will learn and practice the techniques of cutting, assembling, and raising wall and roof systems of a small structure. All these skills and techniques are scalable to larger structures.
