Who is this class for: This class is open to women of any skill level who have taken the 2-day Basic Skills workshop.
Pre-requisites: 2-day Basic Skills workshop
Overview: Woodworking is usually considered a more refined skill than carpentry. Using the skills developed in this class, students will be prepared to work on small furniture projects, as well as do finer carpentry work such as interior trim. In this class, students will develop finer measuring, cutting and joinery techniques, and will be exposed to more precision tools.

Project Description: This 3-day class is organized around the construction of a book case that is the student’s to take. Book cases are a practical item that allow us to delve into detailed carpentry skills such as precision measuring, marking and cutting, as well as introductory joinery techniques.
Take Home: Students take home their assembled bookcase.
Materials fee: This class has a materials fee of $50. This covers the local softwood lumber and stainless steel fasteners for the bookcase.
